The Challenges of being an Empath

Are you an Empath? Do you feel and absorb others' emotions and as a result, feel depleted or overwhelmed?

Being an empath means being super-sensitive to energy in general and to the emotions of others in particular. It means naturally having a lot of empathy or sympathy.

Empathy is a gift, an amazing quality that makes us human and humane in the best possible way. Empathy gives us the ability to read the energy of a situation, place or person, to understand the subtext, the motivation behind the words or actions of others. It allows understanding and compassion and is the source of our intuition, our psychic abilities and our creativity.

This sensitivity also comes with its challenges. Being too open and absorbing energies and emotions from people or situations can be draining or overwhelming. Becoming a human sponge, an energy absorber (sometimes a pain absorber) is not healthy, and serves no one.

This workshop will help us understand the two sides of empathy, the gift of reading energy (being adept in the language of energy) and the challenge of being depleted, drained or overloaded. We will focus on understanding why we get so drained or overwhelmed and how to balance this.

We will explore the various reasons and layers of this pattern, going back to the original root causes, focusing on the energy aspect of this imbalance, without neglecting the mental, emotional, and physical side of it. We will identify the different issues; boundaries that are too open, the state of feeling too empty or too full.

We will offer personalized tools to protect our energy, balance and empower our empathic gift. We will learn how to feel emotions/energy without absorbing them, accepting them without reacting or drowning in them, as a result being informed but not affected by them. We will learn to ground, center and raise our energy as a practice in order to create a strong core/center to anchor and empower our empathic gift.

This workshop is an experiential self-exploration that is done in a fun, safe and supportive way, respecting everyone's path, history and uniqueness. It is especially recommended for those who are natural helpers and givers and for those who are creative or lost their creativity by being overwhelmed or depleted.
